Maintenance Technician

Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician at our Plant 3 location in Bainbridge, GA. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial machine shop. The Maintenance Technician will utilize their mechanical skills and knowledge to maintain, repair, and install various types of equipment and systems. Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment while adhering to workplace safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of machines for signs of malfunction, including visual checks, listening for irregular noises, and scheduled testing.
• Monitor and promptly respond to signs of machinery malfunction, such as performance changes, temperature fluctuations, unusual sounds, smells, or atypical energy usage.
• Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.
• Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electric, and hydraulic systems; identify and replace worn or damaged parts promptly.
• Utilize a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
• Maintain machinery and the adjacent workplace in a clean state; create and maintain a schedule for inspection, service, and testing of machinery.
• Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification, or installation of machinery.
• Identify parts needed for repairs and coordinate the creation of requisitions for needed parts.
• Coordinate with other skilled trades for repairs as necessary.
• Work effectively with other team members in a loud environment.
• Overtime may be required to complete repairs and facilitate production schedules.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
• Ability to act competently in emergencies.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Previous CNC Machining experience is required.
• Proficiency in installing machines and performing electrical work; candidates will be tested on wiring up motors and transformers during the interview.
• Knowledge of schematics, assembly, and mechanical systems.
• Precision work skills.
• Measurement skills, including reading dial calipers, micrometers, and tape measurements.
• Experience with Single and 3 Phase troubleshooting and motor controls.
