Regional Director of Resident Care (LPN/RN)

Discovery Senior Living is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Resident Care to provide leadership and clinical support to multiple assisted living and memory care communities within Discovery Management Group.

Location: Remote, but must reside in GA, MD, PA, NJ, NY (Open to candidates in nearby metro areas with strong airport access).

Compensation: Starting base salary of $150,000 base

Bonus Opportunity: Up to 15% of base salary, paid annually

Travel Requirement: 50% travel

Your Role: Regional Director of Resident Care

As Regional Director of Resident Care, you’ll provide multi-site clinical leadership and ensure consistent, safe, and effective nursing practices across your assigned portfolio of communities. You will partner closely with Executive Directors, Resident Care teams, and divisional leadership to maintain compliance, improve outcomes, and elevate the resident experience.

This is a regional leadership role that requires frequent travel and a proactive, hands-on approach.

We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven leader who can:

  • Provide clinical oversight and ensure compliance with all resident care policies, standards, and regulations.
  • Partner with community leaders to drive quality outcomes and resident satisfaction.
  • Lead regional education, training, and development for Directors of Health & Wellness and care teams.
  • Monitor quality indicators, risk management, and clinical performance, developing corrective action plans as needed.
  • Support acquisitions, transitions, and urgent operational needs across the region.

What You’ll Do

Clinical & Operational Leadership

  • Ensure communities maintain compliance with all resident care policies and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor outcomes, identify trends, and develop corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Support clinical oversight during acquisitions, surveys, or transitions.
  • Perform RN delegation responsibilities, if required by state regulations.

Resident Care & Quality Assurance

  • Guide communities through surveys, audits, and plans of correction.
  • Conduct on-site visits, quality rounds, and simulated surveys.
  • Oversee incident review, infection prevention, and risk mitigation.
  • Support accurate resident assessments, care plans, and documentation.

Team & Talent Development

  • Hire, train, and mentor Directors of Health & Wellness and other clinical leaders.
  • Ensure training compliance and staff development within the region.
  • Partner with operations on staffing models, labor budgets, and supply management.
  • Act as a culture ambassador, promoting accountability and professional growth.

Family, Resident & External Engagement

  • Collaborate with families and staff to resolve care concerns.
  • Support interdisciplinary care planning for complex resident needs.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and educator across the region.

What You Bring

  • Current LPN license required; RN license strongly preferred (required in RN-delegation states).
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of senior living or healthcare leadership experience; multi-site or regional experience strongly preferred.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical practices, assisted living and memory care regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop performance improvement plans.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn new systems quickly.
