Maintenance Tech II
1st Shift 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday On Call RequiredÂ
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Learns the operation, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment.
- Predictive and preventive maintenance and machine repair.
- Communicates and reports all maintenance concerns directly to Maintenance Lead.
- Understands and adhere to Lock-Out Tag-Out Procedures (LOTO), PPE, Confined Space Procedures.
- Detect malfunctions through observation (sound or visual).
- Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality.
- Repair broken or faulty machine parts.
- Perform emergency repairs.
- Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs.
- Align and calibrate machine parts.
- Using power tools and different hand tools to complete assigned maintenance tasks.
- Logging performed maintenance work through either paper documentation or a CMMS.
- Reports all complex maintenance concerns directly to the Maintenance Supervisor promptly.
- Be supportive and collaborate with other team members across the organization with a team-oriented approach.
- If applicable, train other team member(s) across the organization as needed.
- Complying to all OSHA, MS, and safety management standards.
- Attend monthly safety meetings.
- Participate in ongoing training requirements.
- Comply with all company policies according to employee handbook during onboarding.
- Performs other duties, as required.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience  in a manufacturing or processing environment.
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical fabrication , including the use of shop tools and equipment.
- Minimum 2 years of electrical troubleshooting experience , including identifying and resolving basic equipment and control issues.
- At least 2 years of welding experience , including performing repairs on plant equipment and structural components.
- Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals preferred.
- Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- 2 plus years of hands-on troubleshooting experience with industrial controls, automation systems, and electrical circuits in a manufacturing environment.Â
- Proficient in using a multimeter and basic test equipment to verify voltage, measure amperage, check continuity, and diagnose equipment issues.
- Ability to trace and troubleshoot electrical circuits involving components such as pushbuttons, circuit breakers, fuses, contactors, power supplies and relays.
- Practical experience performing basic electrical troubleshooting on automated production machinery and control systemsÂ
