AI Content Editor
Job Summary:
We are building a content engine that publishes at scale and we need someone who knows how to run it. The AI Content Editor is the person who takes AirOps-generated drafts from good to great, gets them published on WordPress, and makes sure every piece of content is working as hard as it should in search.
This is not a traditional writing role. You will spend less time writing from scratch and more time directing AI, editing for quality and SEO/AEO alignment, and systematically publishing content that drives organic traffic and leads. If you are fluent in AI tools, obsessive about quality, and motivated by watching your content climb in Google Search Console this role was built for you.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Operate AirOps or similar workflows daily to generate first drafts for service pages, city pages, blogs, disposal guides, comparison pages, and other related content
Refine prompts, adjust Brand Kit inputs, and improve workflow outputs to match LoadUp's voice and standards
Edit and elevate AI-generated drafts for accuracy, clarity, tone, and on-page SEO alignment
Maintain a consistent weekly publishing cadence of optimized pieces per week
Work from keyword briefs and content targets set by the SEO & Web Strategist
Ensure every published piece is properly structured for leading SEO/AEO practices
Build out local service pages across LoadUp's markets, city-level pages for junk removal, furniture assembly, moving labor, and other services
Execute old blog optimizations for pages, update content, improve structure, and add internal links to push rankings higher
Coordinate with the Programmatic Marketing Manager on calendar priorities and sprint planning
Monitor weekly performance through impressions, clicks, and ranking movement on recently published content
Flag pages with significant ranking gains or drops to the SEO Strategist for follow-up
Track published piece count and organic traffic contribution as your core output metrics
Surface content opportunities such as queries with growing impressions, pages with high impressions but low CTR, and gaps in topical coverage
Experience/Required Skills/Abilities:
2–4 years in a content, SEO, or digital marketing role with a strong publishing track record
Hands-on experience with AI writing tools; you have used Claude, ChatGPT, Jasper, AirOps, or similar tools to produce real content at scale
Solid understanding of on-page SEO/AEO; heading structure, keyword placement, meta tags, internal linking, and search intent alignment
Experience working from keyword briefs and content calendars without heavy direction
Strong editing instincts, you can take an AI draft that is 70% there and make it 100% without rewriting the whole thing
