We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class A CDL Flatbed Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for transporting materials locally in a safe and timely manner using flatbed trailers. The ideal candidate has a strong safety record, experience with load securement, and a commitment to on-time deliveries and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle with flatbed trailer for local deliveries
• Transport materials to and from job sites, customers, and vendors
• Properly load, secure, and tarp loads in accordance with DOT regulations and company standards
• Inspect vehicles before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
• Maintain required logs, delivery paperwork, and compliance documentation
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, shop personnel, and customers
• Follow all federal, state, and local transportation laws and safety regulations

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL license (required)
• Minimum 3 years of flatbed driving experience
• Clean driving record with a strong focus on safety
• Current DOT medical card
• Experience with load securement (chains, straps, binders, tarping)
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check

• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety practices
• Ability to safely secure various types of loads (steel, fabricated parts, etc.)
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Dependable and detail-oriented
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Work Environment

• Local routes – home daily
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Frequent physical activity including securing loads and tarping
• Occasional lifting, bending, and climbing on trailers

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to climb, balance, and secure loads on flatbed trailers
• Capable of performing repetitive physical tasks such as tarping and chaining
