Lab Tech

Contract @ $17-19/hour

Atlanta, GA

Summary:
The Lab Technician supports daily laboratory operations by maintaining lab spaces, equipment, instruments, and supply storage areas. This role involves applying standard laboratory methods and techniques while ensuring compliance with quality assurance protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Retrieve samples from Sample Control for analysis
• Perform sample preparation tasks, including:
• • Aliquoting and spiking samples
  • Preparing reagents and concentrations
  • Bottling and labeling samples
  • Conducting separations and sonication
  • Setting up liquid racks
• Identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate sample labeling and handling
• Complete laboratory documentation, including:
• • Recording analytical results
  • Tracking samples
  • Maintaining bench sheets and lab logbooks
• Clean and prepare laboratory glassware for daily use
• Monitor and restock laboratory supplies

Required Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Basic understanding of laboratory testing methods and techniques
• Ability to analyze data and accurately document results

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 0–2 years of relevant experience preferred
