Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Management, Aviation Maintenance or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job

. 6 years related experience in an aviation, engineering or operations role. 6 years people management experience with accountability and ownership of employee relations activities, including but not limited to; writing and delivering performance reviews, making hiring and termination recommendations, making compensation recommendations, driving employee development, etc. Master's Degree in related curriculum may offset 2 years of related experience and 2 years of people management experience requirement.

Position Purpose :

Provides direction and strategic oversight to Completions operations (e.g. sheetmetal, cabinet, wood finish, upholstery, avionics) and service personnel to ensure that aircraft are completed within customer requirements and FAA regulations. Span of control targeted at 3-7 teams/departments within Compls org. Deals with complex/long term issues and bridges gap between front line and higher-level leaders. Accountable for maintaining the engagement of the team by establishing environment of collaboration between team members and across business, creating a culture of development where all employees are supported in seeking growth opportunities, and guiding team to high quality performance.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

1. Ensure accurate and meaningful communication flow between leadership and team to ensure alignment .
2. Conduct regular contribution and development discussion with employees (end-of-year discussions, 1:1s, and skip level discussions) and supports development investment for all team members .
3. Delivery timely Progressive Counseling when necessary to maintain safety, compliance, and appropriate behavior amongst team .
4. Establish and cascade departmental goals to ensure alignment with organizational goals .
5. Ensures all work is completed in an efficient and timely manner that prioritizes requirements for safety and quality at the highest level .
6. Oversees initiatives encompassing Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement philosophies and concepts .
7. Develops and maintains manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, production costs, and image .
8. Provides guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs .
9. Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met .
10. Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment .
11. Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays .

1. Models and reinforces safety and quality as the priority .
2. Execute pay planning for team .
3. Ensure accurate and meaningful communication flow between leadership and team .
4. Hires and on boards new team members to support overall success in organization .
