Job Summary
The CRO Finance Business Partner serves as the strategic right-hand to the Business Unit Finance VP and a key partner to the CRO and Business Unit President. This role drives financial performance by ensuring accurate revenue forecasting, pipeline evaluation, and executive-level decision support. The position provides financial insights, streamlines processes, and ensures compliance with revenue recognition standards (ASC 606 / IFRS 15), supporting a data-driven and agile approach to revenue growth and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Revenue Leadership
Lead revenue forecasting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with accounting rules.
Build and maintain revenue models reflecting operational drivers and contractual terms.
Provide insights into revenue performance, risks, and opportunities to guide business decisions.
CRO Partnership
Serve as trusted finance partner to the CRO on revenue, bookings, sales costs, and strategic initiatives.
Deliver financial reporting, KPI analysis, and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
Collaborate with Sales, Sales Operations, and Product teams to evaluate pipeline health and revenue recognition impacts.
Revenue Accounting & Governance
Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards (ASC 606 / IFRS 15).
Maintain strong controls and governance around revenue processes and approvals.
Support audit readiness and integrity of revenue reporting.
Leadership, Communication & Execution
Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to executives.
Prioritize and manage multiple high-impact deliverables.
Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering collaboration and accountability.
Represent Finance in cross-functional forums to embed financial considerations into strategic discussions.
Finance Operational Efficiencies
Automate routine finance tasks such as reporting, reconciliations, and data validation.
Leverage AI-driven forecasting tools for improved accuracy and agility.
Qualifications
10+ years in finance business partnering or FP&A, supporting revenue and commercial functions.
Strong expertise in revenue accounting, forecasting, and pipeline analysis.
Experience influencing senior business leaders and driving strategic outcomes.
Proficiency with financial systems and planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with AI-driven finance applications and automation tools preferred.
Experience in complex, matrixed, global organizations.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.
