Director of Learning & Development, Alpha - $200,000/year USD
- On-site at one of our locations: Bethesda, MD; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Seattle, WA; or California (East Bay/San Francisco, Palo Alto, Santa Monica, Los Angeles)

You will combine expert coaching ability with compelling presentation skills, transforming workshops, metrics-based team rallies, and focused feedback sessions into powerful development experiences. - Building Guide Playbooks that outline facilitation best practices, design of engaging learning experiences, and strategies for overcoming obstacles
- Delivering consistent, actionable coaching to Guides that elevates student engagement and outcomes
- Personally coaching a small student cohort to demonstrate expert mentorship and motivational techniques
- Creating traditional lesson plans – Guides support students working through adaptive platforms; your priority is equipping them to be outstanding motivators
- Compromising on standards – when the passing benchmark is 100%, your role is to uphold that expectation
- Running dull training sessions – you'll develop Guides through dynamic, energizing, participatory learning
- Currently located in, or prepared to relocate for, on-site work at an Alpha Campus (Bethesda, MD; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Seattle, WA; or CA: East Bay (San Francisco), Palo Alto, Santa Monica, or Los Angeles)
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or related areas.
- Proven track record of designing and executing innovative educational programs, curricula, or training solutions.
- Exceptional leadership and coaching capabilities with a history of building, managing, and inspiring high-performing teams.
- Background working with young people (ages 5-18) in educational or developmental settings.
- Skilled in data analysis and leveraging metrics to inform decisions and drive ongoing improvement.
- Authorized to work legally in the United States
