Account Manager
Sell and manage HVAC System service contracts and retrofit projects for end-user and property management customers. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Marketing/sales
- Customer development and retention
- Estimating and budgeting
- Written proposals
- Planning and scheduling
- Cost control
- Ensuring quality and performance
- Timely invoices of all work completed to date and conscientious follow-up on collection of money due to ensure positive cash flow
- Supervision of field crews
- Safety awareness, training, promotion
- Warranty administration
- At least 3 years of experience in HVAC or services-related sales
- At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- High school diploma or GED
- HVAC Service experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- HVAC sales and presentation experience
- Detailed oriented
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong desire to provide excellent customer service
- High sense of urgency
- Highly motivated to achieve
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work well as part of a team and independently
- Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines
- Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance
- Must possess and maintain an exceptional work ethic, uphold company values, and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others
- Must project a professional image
- Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.
- The work environment involves some exposure to construction, mechanical, and electrical-related hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Moderate physical effort. Requires handling of average weight objects up to 50 pounds and extensive standing and walking.
- Work requires local and occasional out-of-town travel to job sites and customer locations.
- Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and scaffolds, and to negotiate work areas under construction.
