About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated, qualified, and passionate Pre-K Lead Teacher to guide and support our Pre-K classroom. The lead teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing curriculum, fostering social-emotional and academic growth, and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environments for preschool-aged children.
What You'll Do- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based lesson plans aligned with GELDS standards.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and child development
- Support children's growth in early literacy, math readiness, motor skills, and social-emotional development
- Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance and developmentally appropriate strategies
- Observe, document, and assess student progress and developmental milestones
- Use assessment data to individualize instruction and support each child's needs
- Able to communicate with parents
- Participate in required training, staff meetings, and professional development as requires b DECAL and the program
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Valid Georgia teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education
- Experience in working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting
- Strong understanding of a child's development and early learning practices
- Excellent Communication,organization, and classroom management skills
- Ability to create a warm, patient, and engaging learning environment
- Experience with lesson plans
