Location: Atlanta, GA (preferred) | Hybrid or Remote Considered

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to lead our tax strategy and compliance functions. This is a high-impact role for a tax professional with deep expertise in individual, corporate, M&A, and trust and estate matters. As a key role in our team, you will advise ownership and shape tax strategies that support both business growth and long-term planning. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all tax-related matters, including income, corporate, trust, and partnership taxes.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to ownership and executive leadership on tax and financial matters, including trust and estate considerations, investment structures, and philanthropic planning
• Lead tax planning and strategy development to optimize financial outcomes and support business objectives.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation, review, and filing of tax returns, including coordination with third-party tax preparers.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws to ensure full compliance and capture potential benefits.
• Assist in managing tax audits and resolving disputes as necessary.
• Support and manage relationships with service providers, ensuring that tax strategies align with the broader organizational goals.
• Provide guidance on complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
• Uphold confidentiality and accuracy in all tax matters while delivering high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
• CPA preferred.
• MST (Master of Science in Taxation) is a plus.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in tax compliance, planning, and financial advisory.
• Strong technical proficiency in individual and corporate tax matters.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement tax strategies and assess financial risks and opportunities.
• Strong relationship-building skills and professional presence; capable of serving as a trusted advisor.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex tax concepts.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
