Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Ink Technician to join our team for a 6-month assignment. In this role, you will be responsible for using computer software to generate ink formulas and ensure precise color matching through a detailed process involving weighing, mixing, and testing inks. This is a technical position that requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow a structured process, and safe operation of specialized equipment.

Job Description

• Utilize computer software to generate and adjust ink formulas.
• Accurately weigh ink formulas into small jars using a precision balance.
• Mix inks using a centrifugal mixer to achieve uniform consistency.
• Print mixed ink samples on a proofing machine for evaluation.
• Use a spectrophotometer to measure the color accuracy of printed samples.
• Adjust formulas as needed to ensure color matches within specifications.
• Record finalized formulas into the formulary database.
• Label and print samples, ensuring proper documentation and closure of color matches.
• Repeat the process for all required colors while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.

Skills Required

• Hi gh school diploma / GED
• Strong computer and office skills for formula generation and data entry.
• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure precision in ink formulation and color matching.
• Ability to learn and retain information related to ink formulation processes and equipment usage.
• Capacity to follow a detailed process meticulously to produce the best results.
• A bility to stand for up to 8 hours.
• Simple hand dexterity required for handling equipment and samples.
