Travel Occupational Therapist Job

Healthforce
Cumming, GA
Embark on a meaningful journey as an Occupational Therapist in Cumming, Georgia, where your clinical expertise translates into tangible improvements in daily life for adults and children alike. In this specialty role, you’ll assess function, design adaptive strategies, and guide patients through practical activities that restore independence, safety, and confidence. Your work will weave together therapeutic activity, environmental modification, and education for families and caregivers, helping people adapt to new routines and reclaim participation in home, work, and community life. Starting on 04/13/2026 for a multi-week assignment with guaranteed 40 hours per week, this opportunity invites you to grow your practice while enjoying the richness of Georgia’s diverse landscapes. And beyond the therapy room, you can explore the state’s beauty—from the rolling foothills of North Georgia to the sparkling shores of Lake Lanier, from the historic streets of Savannah and Atlanta to tranquil provincial parks—creating memorable experiences that nourish your well-being as you support others.

Located in Cumming, you’ll find a welcoming community, modern rehab facilities, and supportive colleagues who value evidence-based care and collaborative planning. The assignment also offers the possibility to work in multiple locations across the United States, broadening your professional horizons and exposing you to a variety of populations, care settings, and reimbursement landscapes. You’ll enjoy proximity to Atlanta’s cultural amenities, outdoor recreation, and a range of dining and educational resources, with the flexibility to tailor your schedule to balance professional demands and personal interests.

Core responsibilities include comprehensive OT evaluations, development of individualized treatment plans, and ongoing re-evaluation to track progress and adjust interventions. You’ll implement hand therapy, upper-extremity rehabilitation, cognitive-motor training, and activities of daily living training, while selecting and training assistive devices and adaptive equipment. You’ll coordinate with physicians, nurses, PTs, SLPs, social workers, and care coordinators to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care, and you’ll document outcomes in accessible, standards-aligned formats. You’ll have opportunities for professional growth, including pursuing specialty certifications in pediatrics, geriatrics, mental health, or hand therapy, as well as pathways to leadership roles or expanded scope within community-based rehab. Benefits include a competitive weekly pay range of 1,970 to 2,005, a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and potential extension opportunities based on performance and facility needs. Comprehensive traveler support is provided, with 24/7 assistance from a dedicated team to handle logistics, safety, and wellbeing as you travel between assignments. Our emphasis on evidence-based practice, ethical care, and continuous learning ensures you stay at the forefront of the OT field while you empower clients to pursue meaningful activities.

Our company is built on empowering staff—investing in your career development, providing mentorship, ongoing education resources, and a collaborative, respectful work culture where your contributions matter. We foster a supportive environment that encourages curiosity, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and shared success, so you can thrive while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

If you’re ready to bring your expertise to diverse settings, experience new communities across the country, and advance your career in occupational therapy, apply now. This is your opportunity to join a forward-thinking organization that places your professional development and patient impact at the forefront.
