Position Summary:
The care partner will provide personalized care and services to residents, uphold the mission of Oaks Senior Living, and promote the well-being of the residents. Care partners will assist and support residents with activities of daily living in a professional, kind, and caring manner.
Qualifications:
- Experience in caregiving to older adults is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Desire to work with older adults.
- Friendly, caring disposition.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must pass a satisfactory criminal history check.
- Must have a physical exam by a licensed physician.
- Must have a negative drug screen.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to resident calls.
- Assist with resident activities and encourage participation.
- Encourage residents to attend meals in the dining room.
- Escort residents to and from the dining room.
- Assist with serving meals and meet individual needs and preferences.
- Observe and report changes in residents' appetite and ability to eat and drink.
- Help clean the dining area after meals.
- Assist with cleaning and tidying residents' rooms or apartments.
- Support residents with showers, toileting, dressing, and grooming tasks.
