TSR Senior Technician

We are looking for an TSR Senior Technician to join our Refining Catalysts Team in Attapulgus.

As a TSR Senior Technician for our Refining Catalyst business unit (EV/RR) you will build a meaningful career supporting FCC catalyst evaluation and testing at BASF’s Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) catalyst operations located in Attapulgus, GA. The function of this position is to work on Technical Service Requests (TSR) originated from the Sales and Technology teams. These requests are lab tests and analysis to help our customers resolve technical issues. The TSR Senior Technician will work with the lab testing supervisor to make sure that these requests are finished on-time and accurately.

During your 8-hour day shift as a TSR Senior Technician, you will

• Manage the TSR database as well as sample and feed inventory systems
• Collaborate with other cross-functional teams as needed
• Submit samples for analysis and summarize the test and analytical results for our customers
• Document test results and test procedures accurately in TSR database.
• Operate and perform tests on small deactivation unit and air jet units. Able to carry out experiments independently in the lab safely following SOPs.
• Operate ACE unit to perform reactivity characterization.

If you...

• Have a HS Diploma or GED with 10 years of applicable experience, Associate degree with 8 years of applicable experience, OR Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of applicable experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot when analytical testing results are outside the expected range.
• Ability to communicate effectively with our customers and other team members.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to tabulate and / or plot results for reporting to the supervisor.
• Are able to lift up to 50 lb and carry up to 25 lb as well as climb ladders and stairs.
• Experience in FCC technology and ability to interpret catalyst test and analytical results are a plus.
