Elite Construction is hiring a Maintenance Technician The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician is to ensure smooth functioning of the equipment through efficient preventative maintenance with the utilization of all safety related tactics and practices. Description:

The Maintenance Technician should be self-motivated in routine jam pulling, basic repairs and basic maintenance, as well as capable of supporting daily production and provide detailed feedback to management and senior maintenance personnel regarding production maintenance issues. The Maintenance Technician’s primary concern is with keeping the production floor equipment clean, operating properly and jam free. The successful candidate should be a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. Must be able follow company rules and procedures, interact with others well and positive. Must be able to work overtime and weekends if needed.

Education and Experience

If you have previous industrial maintenance - electrical filed-or millwright experience you are an ideal candidate for this position. This full-time, permanent position requires a minimum of2 to 3 years of maintenance experience. Must be able to verify previous work experience! 

Must have a clean driving record

Class B 

Good mechanical aptitude

Computer skills 

Ability to work unsupervised 

 The company is offering $18.00 - $24.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Successful candidate must be able to work the third (1st) shift from 7:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday with occasional weekend and overtime. Must be able to travel some with this position!

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the day-to-day safe machine operation.
• Must work safe and follow all company and industry related safety rules and practices.
• Does not take shortcuts – always follow proper safety procedures when working on or around machinery.
• Follow all lock out/tag out procedures;
• Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled;
• Ensure that all PMS are done on schedule;
• Works collaboratively with all employees, always remembering that the maintenance department services production;
• Must be capable to learn and perform (start-up/ shut-down) procedures safely for the power plant based upon schedule and plant requirements;
• Notifies Level I technician or Lead Technician when maintenance supplies are low so that they can be replenished on time;
• Participate in Maintenance meetings collaboratively;
• Attend safety meetings as directed;
• Any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary.

Qualifications:

• Trade/Technical school degree or certification preferred or a minimum of 3 years in a maintenance related position;
• Proficient knowledge application knowledge of: electrical motors and motor controllers, wiring single and three phase components, ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics, and good mechanical aptitude.
• Able to work safely and proficiently with power tools;
• Good listening and communication skills;
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently;
• Must be experienced and dedicated to meet high demands;
• Be dependable, team work attitude, and hardworking;
• Problem solving and planning skills;
• Follow safety and quality guidelines;
• Able to report to work on time and as scheduled;
• Verifiable work experience/history;
• Be able to work at any of the regional plants or move between plans during the work shift based upon the needs of the company.
• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Clean driving record; and
• Ability to pass drug and background screening
