Maintenance Coatings Technician

We are looking for a Specialty Coatings Applicator to help us protect and repair industrial infrastructure. Whether you’re a seasoned pro with NACE certifications or a skilled maintenance tech with a good work ethic, we provide the platform for you to expand your earning potential and master a specialized trade.

salary: $41,600 - $62,400 per year
shift: First
work hours: 6 AM - 4 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Application & Repair: Install high-performance epoxy, urethane, and polyurea coatings. Perform composite repairs in diverse industrial settings.

• Surface Preparation: Safely set up and operate abrasive blast (sandblasting) equipment and pneumatic power tools (grinders, drills, etc.).

• Equipment Operation: Operate conventional, airless, and plural component spray equipment.

• Technical Execution: Read and interpret Product Data Sheets (PDS) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to properly mix and thin industrial coatings for specific mil thickness.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week

Skills

• coating technician (3 years of experience is required)
• Grinding (1 year of experience is preferred)
• General Maintenance (2 years of experience is required)
• Maintenance
• Contract Maintenance/Renewal (1 year of experience is preferred)
• industrial painting (3 years of experience is required)
• sandblasting (3 years of experience is preferred)
• Blueprint Reading (3 years of experience is preferred)
• mechanical inclined (3 years of experience is preferred)
