Artistic Director (6-month Project)

Position We are a faith based organization seeking an inventive and strategic Artistic Director to lead a 6-month, project-based initiative. This part-time, 10 hour per week role is or a visionary leader who can guide our team to a sucessful creative outcome. The Artistic Director will be responsible for completing five choreographed pieces for four outreach programs. This position requires a visionary leader with a passion for the arts and a commitment to community engagement. The role may be extended depending in business needs and performance demands.

Key Responsibilites:.

• Develop and execute five original choreographed pieces within the 6-month project timeline
• Create and direct choreography for dance artists involved in outreach events and performances.
• Plan oversee four outreach events, ensuring each event is impactful ad aligns with the organization's mission
• Collaborate with dancers, musicians, and other artists to bring the choreographed pieces to life.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful completion of all deliverables.
• Engage with community partners and stakeholders to promote the outreach event and foster community involvement.
• Provide artistic direction and instructions to performers, ensuring high-quality performances.
• Evaluate the success of each ourtreach event and choreographed piece, providing feedback and recommendations for future projects.
• Perform with other artists during the presentation of the event.
• Teach dance class, community student classes and oversee outcome-based work for event performances

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in choreography, teaching and artistic direction, with a portfolio of completed works.
• Bachelor of Arts degree preferred
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• Excellent for community engagement and the arts
• Passion for community engagement and the arts
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
