Instructional Aide Subs Needed Flexible, Per Diem Opportunities in La Fayette, GA
Support students and contribute to their academic, social, and behavioral success in structured school environments. This per diem position offers flexible shifts based on school needs, ideal for compassionate individuals seeking impactful work in education.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small-group academic and behavioral support as directed by teachers and staff
- Assist students with daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions
- Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as applicable
- Support student mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere for all students
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability to complete mandatory TB testing and any additional school-required clearances prior to starting
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when needed
- Experience in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or child care preferred
- Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges a plus
- CPI, PMT, or RBT certification beneficial but not required
- Reliable, patient, and collaborative work approach
