Hybrid : 3 days in-office | 2 remote (after onboarding)
Salary: $75,000–$95,000 DOE
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week
Location: Downtown Atlanta
Our client is a nationally recognized defense law firm representing clients in complex civil litigation. The Atlanta office is a hub for trial-focused defense work and is staffed by experienced attorneys and dedicated litigation support professionals. The firm values precision, autonomy, and team collaboration while providing the resources of a national platform.
We’re seeking a skilled litigation paralegal to support a partner with an active, trial-oriented defense practice. The caseload is varied and substantial and includes transportation, product liability, labor & employment, and commercial defense work. The partner is collaborative and supportive.
This role offers autonomy over case workflow within a structured, professional environment. The position is hybrid after an initial ramp-up period.
Primary responsibilities:
Manage discovery, document production, and ongoing case file organization across an active docket
Draft, format, proofread, and file pleadings, discovery, and correspondence for state and federal matters
Prepare deposition and record summaries; organize exhibits, hearing binders, and trial materials
Coordinate depositions, hearings, and trial logistics with attorneys, experts, and local counsel
Maintain docket calendars and ensure timely court filings and deadline tracking
Enter and maintain accurate billing/time entries and expense records in firm systems
Maintain case files in the firm document system and communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders
What we're looking for:
5+ years litigation paralegal experience; defense-side background strongly preferred
Hands-on experience with tort, transportation, product liability, or commercial defense matters
Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload and prioritize competing deadlines
Strong drafting, summarizing, and trial-prep skills; excellent attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience billing/time systems a plus
Professional communication style and ability to work autonomously once onboarded
Paralegal certification or bachelor’s degree preferred
Office environment:
Hybrid schedule (3 days in-office / 2 remote after ramp-up) in Downtown Atlanta
Tools commonly used: document management and timekeeping platforms
Collaborative team of paralegals, associates, and legal support staff; low-ego, results-driven culture
