JOB TITLE: Aircraft Cabinet Finisher I

LOCATION: Savannah, GA

PAY RATE: $23.31/hour

Summary:

• Learn entry-level technical skills, regulatory requirements, and proper tool usage in the Cabinet Finish Shop under direct supervision.

• Develop foundational knowledge and problem-solving abilities in preparation for advancement to technician level.

• Gain proficiency in furniture finish preparation using standard safety procedures, design/engineering drawings, and materials such as sandpaper, polishes, adhesives, solvents, and masking mediums.

• Use the material tracking system to create part demands, track squawks, and sign off completed work.

• Follow all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies.

• Use personal protective equipment and assist in ensuring protection of the aircraft interior.

• Support the development and implementation of related safety and efficiency initiatives.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Experience in woodworking, wood finishing, or auto body and painting in a technical environment

• Completion of a Technical Certificate in cabinetmaking preferred

• Youth apprenticeship program completion in the current year in a related field preferred

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

• Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any assigned shift

• Must be computer literate

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
