Inventory Coordinator

A Day in the Life and the Impact You’ll Make:

As the Inventory Coordinator you will be the go-to person for merchandise in DEKRA Safety & Automotive Emissions stations in North America. As the Inventory Coordinator you will be the POS expert. All our emission stations are currently using one of the leading cloud-based POS Systems. You will be responsible for placing orders, inventory tracking, maintaining and adding item data within the POS system, as well as reporting. You will analyze sales and market trends, as well as provide product life cycles and line extension recommendations. You will work closely with the Marketing & Merchandising Manager in the performance of these duties, as well as the execution of product introduction and phase out, product data maintenance, product flow, and inventory control goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with IT and PTI team to accurately load new items into POS system
  • Coordinate and support new product training
  • Manage new merchandise vendor set up
  • Maintain current inventory data in POS system
  • Act as liaison between the vendors, station managers / inspectors, and focus on the timely delivery of products, as well as resolving any product issues.
  • Research, acquire, and update information on products at the back end of the POS
  • Analyze item sales trends and provide recommendations for line extensions and phase outs
  • Analyze product assortments and recommend expansion and phase outs on a per-station basis
  • Manage inventory audit of all stations merchandise
  • Perform inventory spot checks throughout the year
  • Create and submit purchase orders for product replenishment for all stations
  • Contribute and support department initiatives
  • Assist in the communication of all pertinent product information to internal & external partners.
  • Complete daily merchandise sales reports, as well as monthly cost of goods report
  • Perform sales trend analysis and provide recommendations
  • Assist in all operational and administrative functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of inventory and/or merchandising support experience required
  • Automotive Industry experience is a plus, but not required
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must be an effective problem solver
  • Must be organized & detailed oriented
  • Must always display professional & ethical conduct
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel & PowerPoint
  • Any experience with SAP and/or Accounting is a plus
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Physical Considerations:

  • Ability to work in a general office environment
  • Ability to handle extended periods of computer-based work, including telephone
  • Ability to work flexible and long hours, as needed

Travel Considerations:

  • No travel is required for this position.

Compensation:

The base pay for this position is $50,000 annually to $70,000 annually. Actual pay is based on several factors including market location and position-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
