Locations with Position Openings: Athens, GA Position Status Options: Full Time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 12:30 to 9:00pm EST
Pay : $14.50 to $15.000 depending on experience
Start Date: May 26, 2025
Position Summary: The Operator will act as first point of contact with patients and referring physicians calling inbound to IHS for help with appointments, site information and other details regarding patient care. This will be achieved by performing the following duties:
Contact Center Representative Duties:
- Listen to patient requests and ensure patients are directed to the correct department or Scheduling Queues.
- Manage and update customer data basis regarding alternative spellings, locations, patient demographics and other patient chart related information.
- Identify patient complaints or problems and coordinating with appropriate escalation protocols if not able to deescalate.
- Assist with X-Ray callers, providing information as needed, promoting online Self-Service options and/or assisting in scheduling patients when applicable.
- Assists in Cancelling patient appointments to reduce waste in scheduling queues.
- Perform clerical duties such as typing, standing, updating documents and using all Microsoft Office Applications.
- Ensure that all Bridge courses, Enterprise Excellence exercises and Shine Duties are completed during scheduled time and/or in a timely manner.
- Other responsibilities as directed by supervisor and/or manager.
Qualifications
- Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret electronic and printed documents with basic medical terminology such as process instructions, safety rules, and clinical forms. Must possess the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, clients, and other organization employees.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out interactions with customers, while achieving objectives and outcomes.
- Computer Skills: Understanding and ability to utilize computer applications, phone system and other electronic resources as needed.
- Experience: Call Center or Healthcare setting experience preferred but not required
