About the Position
Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Step Down Unit Duration: Contract Shift: Varies Hours per Shift: 48 hours Experience: 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: 2 years of experience, ACLS, BLS Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in a medical step down unit. The unit typically consists of 16 to 20 beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 to 4. Common patient conditions include Sepsis, Heart Failure, Hypertensive Emergency, Respiratory Failure, COPD, Chronic Kidney Disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Substance Abuse, Status Epilepticus, and Encephalopathy. Candidates must have 2 years of nursing experience in a similar setting. ACLS and BLS certifications are required. This role demands strong clinical skills and the ability to manage complex patient needs.
