GENERAL SUMMARY Based in Atlanta, this role will be working with our Association Accounting team. As an Association Accounting Manager, you will provide accounting services and support to all assigned Associations as well as other departmental accounting responsibilities as assigned. Our team is responsible for managing all Association-related accounting and reporting requirements, ensuring that all timelines are met, and our work is error free. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Provide pleasant and professional services to all internal and external contacts.
- Ensure Association satisfaction by providing leadership and guidance.
- Ensure all balance sheet reconciliation are correctly prepared and books are closed on timely basis.
- Prepare internal and external monthly and annual financial statements with timeliness and accuracy in accordance with the contractual agreement.
- Explain financial statements to Association leads and board members in layman's terms.
- Work with association teams to ensure their understanding of Association financials.
- Research and resolve all accounting issues of assigned Associations.
- Create customer invoices for assigned Associations.
- Process incoming checks by depositing funds and applying payments to customer accounts in Quickbooks.
- Support assigned Associations in accordance with contractual agreements. Participate in meetings as warranted.
- Answer all incoming phone calls and emails in a courteous, and timely manner.
- Mentor and provide assistance to accounting team as needed.
- Manage internal and external audits/reviews, as required, for assigned Associations.
- Coordinate the completion of all tax filings, e.g. 1099 and annual tax return.
- Ensure all timelines are met and work is error free.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM AND PREFEREED QUALIFICATIONS - A bachelor's degree preferably in a related field of study.
- A minimum of five years of work-related experience is required.
- Strong experience in and demonstrated proficiency with QuickBooks.
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel and overall proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Experience in, and demonstrated ability to, review transaction-related activities for accuracy.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Adaptable, friendly, reliable, enthusiastic demeanor is preferred, with ability to speak clearly and concisely.
- Problem solver. Able to identify issues, resolve issues and enact corrective plans to prevent issue in the future.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented, organized and ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly while maintaining control of deliverables.
- Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Team player with a positive attitude
SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS - Requires flexibility in scheduling, such as the ability to work evenings and weekends to meet company needs.
WORKPLACE LOCATION REQUIREMENTS - We operate as a Hybrid work environment, working as a combination of remote and in-office presence, as well as the possibility of being onsite at Association and/or event locations.

- Need to lift, carry, push, or drag boxes or equipment up to 30 lbs.
- Frequently moves inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Need to adapt and function in various physical settings (for example, conference centers, indoor and outdoor spaces).
- Occasionally required to position self in a stooping, kneeling, or crouching manner.
- Frequently required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, machinery and computers.
- Frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Frequently operates a computer and other electronic equipment.
- The noise level in the office work environment is usually low to moderate, while event environments may be moderate to noisy.
