Job Description
- Provide legal advice and counsel on construction, real estate, and commercial law matters.
- Support general contractors and construction projects from a legal perspective.
- Handle construction litigation and dispute resolution.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to construction and real estate.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the construction and real estate sectors.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address legal and business challenges.
- Advise on risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on legal issues and policies.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Counsel - Construction should have:
- A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active Georgia bar membership.
- 5+ years of experience in construction, real estate, or commercial law.
- Expertise in construction litigation and dispute resolution.
- Proven ability to provide legal support to general contractors and construction projects.
- Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Capability to work collaboratively across departments and manage complex legal matters.
