Pharmacist

Pharmacist Job Description The Pharmacist is entrusted with upholding the pharmacy management's goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy. This role involves providing routine and emergency comprehensive drug screening, information processing, and dispensing services across various drug distribution systems to ensure safe and efficient delivery of appropriate drug products to customers. Responsibilities + Execute daily operations within the pharmacy related to workflow, production quotas, and deadlines. + Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice. + Supervise pharmacy production staff to maintain order entry workflow, security of the pharmacy area, and adherence to delivery schedules. + Verify completeness and accuracy of new and refill labels and orders, as well as drug packaging and labeling. + Prepare and supervise sterile IV drug products or solutions. + Assist in ordering, handling, receiving, documenting, and storing all controlled substances, maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs. + Provide coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of the scheduled on-call rotation. + Ensure the workflow dashboard is cleared daily. + Adhere to all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA. + Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. Essential Skills + Pharmacy certification + Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or school of pharmacy + Pharmacy License in State of GA Additional Skills & Qualifications + Retail experience in a high-volume environment is highly preferred. + Competencies in attention to detail, collaboration skills, communication, decision making, discretion, performance management, problem solving/analysis, reliability, teamwork, and technical capacity. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Macon, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $131000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
