• Oversee daily classroom functions and ensure the well-being and safety of a group of children
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the classroom and playground areas, adhering to local, state, and national regulations
• Implement lesson plans and schedules in accordance with the academy's curriculum and programming
• Ensure the classroom is a welcoming and engaging space that encourages creativity and exploration
• Provide clear expectations and recognition to children, while promoting positive behavior and social skills
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom, including housekeeping duties and common areas
• Attend staff meetings, workshops, and school functions to stay up-to-date on academy developments and best practices
• Conduct yourself in a professional and respectful manner, adhering to the academy's guidelines
• Assist with tasks and responsibilities as needed
• Familiarity with the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds to facilitate programs and ensure child safety

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a licensed early childhood program
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position required
• Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

• Prior experience working in childcare or teaching
• At least 18 years of age
• 1 year of experience in childcare or teaching
