The Minister of Music leads the church in a music ministry that will inspire and enhance congregational worship and fellowship, engage all age levels in a variety of music experiences and education, and promote music as an important part of meaningful corporate and personal worship and spiritual growth. This individual will have a passion for music and a commitment to using music to lead others to worship.

Education/Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in music education, music performance or equivalent experience. Demonstrated ability to direct choirs, ensembles, and instrumental groups. Proficiency in vocal and instrumental music, with the ability to direct and arrange music for choirs, ensembles, accompanists, and instrumental groups. Knowledgeable in Christian music.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Plans, coordinates and evaluates a comprehensive music program inclusive of all age groups throughout the life of the church.
2. Works in consultation with the Senior Pastor to plan the Sunday worship and special services to ensure appropriate congregational and special music that enhances and supports the worship message and experience.
3. Leads and directs congregational music at regular and special worship services.
4. Leads and directs the choir in worship and special services which includes preparing for and rehearsing the choir and recruiting new members.
5. Plans and directs ensembles and individuals in performing worship music.
6. Prepares, directs, and performs seasonally appropriate music, including both traditional and contemporary selections for Sunday morning worship service.
7. Directs and/ or performs music as needed for funerals and special services.
8. Teaches and grows musical capabilities of church choir and overall music ministry.
9. Organizes, supervises and directs an instrumental music program. Organizes, supervises and directs the handbell choir.
10. Works in harmony with the Senior Pastor on the vision and growth of the Music Ministry.
