Reports To:  Director of Purchasing and Inventory 

Job Summary

Cleaver-Brooks is seeking a hands-on, analytical Procurement Manager to oversee Production Operations at our Thomasville, GA manufacturing facility. This role balances day-to-day execution with strategic thinking, ensuring materials are available when and where they are needed while driving efficiency, cost savings, and supplier performance.

  • On-Time Delivery to the Shop Floor
    KPI:  On-Time Delivery %, material shortage incidents 
    Value Alignment:  Performance, Responsiveness 

  • On-Time Delivery to Customers
    KPI:  Customer On-Time Delivery %, schedule adherence

  • Inventory Quality & Availability
    KPI:  Inventory Turns, excess & obsolete Inventory ($), inventory accuracy 
    Value Alignment:  Responsiveness, Integrity 

  • People Development & Succession Planning
    KPI:  Development plan completion, bench strength, team retention 
    Value Alignment:  Commitment, Candor, Unity 

  • Supplier Performance & Cost Management
    KPI:  Supplier On-Time Delivery %, supplier quality, cost savings and avoidance ($) 
    Value Alignment:  Integrity, Performance 

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead procurement strategy for Thomasville production with a forward-looking, data-driven approach.

  • Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to demand, supply, cost, and inventory.

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective procurement of materials supporting production operations.

  • Determine optimal product placement strategies, including stock and dropship.

  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure adherence to terms and conditions.

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess.

  • Track, analyze, and report procurement KPIs using Excel and business intelligence tools (Power BI a plus).

  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing procurement team focused on future leadership readiness.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements. 

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.

Experience:


  • 5+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain experience, including people leadership.

  • Proven results in developing and growing a high-performing team. 

Skills & Capabilities:


  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel.

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.

  • Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable plans.

  • Power BI or other data visualization experience preferred.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership aligned with Cleaver-Brooks’ core values.
