Maître D’ / Reservations & Group Dining Coordinator

Aria, one of Atlanta’s most respected fine dining restaurants, is seeking a polished, experienced Maître D’ / Reservations & Group Dining Coordinator to join our front-of-house team.
This is not an entry-level host position. The right candidate is a true hospitality professional with a strong understanding of fine dining service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage the front door with warmth, precision, confidence, and grace.
The Maître D’ plays a central role in shaping the guest experience from the first point of contact through the end of dinner. This person oversees the reservation book, manages pacing and seating strategy, welcomes guests, recognizes regulars and VIPs, maintains thoughtful guest notes and preferences, and works closely with leadership to ensure each service feels smooth, organized, and deeply hospitable.
This role also includes managing group dining reservations and private event coordination, including responding to inquiries, communicating menu and event details, following up with guests, and guiding larger reservations from initial inquiry through final confirmation.

Responsibilities
Manage the reservation book with close attention to pacing, table flow, guest preferences, and service standards
Lead the arrival experience with warmth, polish, and professionalism
Recognize regular guests, VIPs, special occasions, and important reservation notes
Touch tables throughout service and remain actively present in the dining room
Communicate clearly with servers, sommeliers, managers, and the kitchen to support a seamless service
Maintain accurate guest profiles, preference notes, VIP details, and reservation records
Handle reservation confirmations, waitlist management, shift notes, and service reports
Respond to guest emails and phone calls with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail
Manage group dining inquiries, follow-up communication, agreements, event details, and booking logistics
Offer thoughtful basic guidance to guests regarding the menu, dining experience, tasting menu, wine program, and reservation policies
Work alongside leadership to resolve guest concerns and protect the quality of the guest experience
Support a culture of excellence, accountability, hospitality, and teamwork
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of true fine dining or luxury hospitality experience required
Prior Maître D’, lead host, reservations leadership, guest relations, or similar hospitality experience strongly preferred
Strong OpenTable experience required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Polished, professional presence with a warm and gracious approach to hospitality
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
Comfortable remaining physically active throughout service and engaged throughout the dining room
Working knowledge of fine dining service, food, beverage, and wine culture
Curiosity and comfort within a sophisticated wine program
Friday and Saturday availability required
Full-time evening availability required
