Recycling Lead

Apto Solutions is seeking a Recycling Lead to join their team at their headquarters in Atlanta.
The Recycle Lead is responsible for supervising Recycle team members in processing and disposing of items identified for recycling by other departments and will report to the Recycle Manager. This is a full-time position in our warehouse, 40 hours per week. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, between the hours of 6:00 AM. to 3:00 PM, but may vary based on business needs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Keep track of all incoming recycle material
• Supervise a team of 2-4 recycling material handlers
• Keep clients up to date with proof of destruction documents
• Separate recycle goods based on condition of material
• Ensure the proper and appropriate destruction or data sanitation for all required items
• Maintain best practices based on most current industry recycle standards
• Order pickups for scrap metal and refuse material
• Ensure the timely scheduling of all recycle employees
• Loading trucks with a forklift
• Keep detailed records of department activities and reports to management based on those records

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required, or two years in a related field may be viewed as equivalent to the above educational requirements
• Two years of warehouse and/or customer service and supervising experience required
• Experience operating a forklift
• Must regularly lift and/or move objects up to five pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 45 pounds
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Experience with database entry and maintenance
• Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Must have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to prioritize workload, self-manage projects, and handle multiple tasks
• Attention to detail
