Electrical Commissioning Agent III

In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the operational excellence and reliability of large-scale, mission-critical data centers. As a senior member of the commissioning team, you will lead and execute the commissioning of complex electrical systems, including generators, switchgears, UPSs, and PDUs. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, with the expectation of traveling up to 75% of the time to project sites. Responsibilities
- Lead and execute commissioning activities for data center electrical systems, including generators, switchgears, UPSs, PDUs, and related equipment.
- Review client design packages and documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Monitor and analyze Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Level 1 through Level 5 equipment tests.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive commissioning documentation, including test procedures, reports, logs, and equipment checklists.
- Prepare and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Methods of Procedures (MOPs).
- Participate in and help lead daily commissioning meetings, construction coordination meetings, and project planning sessions.
- Interface with clients, contractors, equipment vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Assist with field troubleshooting and verification of commissioned equipment, utilizing power quality analyzers, data loggers, and related testing equipment.
- Support the development of operation and maintenance (O&M) documentation for data center electrical systems.
- Adhere to and promote quality management and quality control processes throughout all project phases.
Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience in engineering, with a focus on electrical systems in complex or mission-critical facilities.
- Previous experience commissioning data centers or other mission-critical environments is required.
- Experience with electrical equipment testing in critical facilities.
- Familiarity with IEEE/ASHRAE procedures and protocols is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of systems design for large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on documentation and client interaction.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in engineering is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time as required by project needs.
- Ability to occasionally move objects weighing 10-50 lbs and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, sitting, climbing, and balancing.
- Visual acuity requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
