Manual Machinist

salary: $52,000 - $72,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery in a metal fabrication environment
• Machine parts from supplied shop drawings

Experience requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a manual machinist.

Desired Skills:

• Must have the ability to operate manual machines (lathes, mills, drills, presses (brake), etc.)
• Ability to setup manual and CNC machines
• Ability to operate CNC machines
• Demonstrated ability to strategically select and operate the appropriate manual machinery to complete multi-stage fabrications from shop drawings
• Familiar with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Ability to interpret blueprints

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 40lbs
• standing for 4 hours at one time
• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
