Position: Sales Associate

Classification: Hourly

Reports To: Concourse Managers and Supervisors

Job Summary: Must be able to fulfill the company customer service standards by being friendly, available, and customer focused. Possess the ability to maximize sales in an accurately and efficiently manner. Must possess positive values of integrity, fairness, respect, teamwork, and high standards. Adhere to all company and airport policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer within 10 seconds.

Follow all company policies, cash handling policies and special store loss prevention procedures and safe guard company assets.

Communicate effectively with customers, fellow employees, and store management.

Accurately and efficiently ring all items in the point of sale system as outlined in the Cash Register Policy.

Learn how to offer additional items to customers at the point of sale.

Know basic store layout to assist the customers in their selection of product and be able to answer customer questions about the entire store.

Maintain outstanding standards, and solid product knowledge.

Maintain awareness of all promotions, advertisements businesses/offerings within the stores.

Assist other store employees in maintaining security in stores.

Stock merchandise accordingly to company standards.

Inform management of any out of stock situations.

Maintain a neat and organized appearance- following company dress code guidelines.

Help maintain a neat, clean, organized store, which includes sweeping, dusting, straightening of merchandise on store fixtures and displays.

Perform related work as assigned.

Skills and Competencies:

Ability to process information/merchandise through point of sale system.

Ability to communicate with associates and customers in a professional manner.

Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.

Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.

1-2 years of retail cashier/and/or sales experience preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting, and perform all functions as set forth above. Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and some holidays, as needed. May be required to work overtime.
