About the Role

The organization is seeking an experienced Network Engineer specializing in Aruba Networks Solutions. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in designing, deploying, optimizing, troubleshooting, and managing wired and wireless network infrastructures in secure, mission-critical environments. This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse technical and leadership teams to ensure high-performing, resilient network operations.

Key Responsibilities


  • Network Design & Implementation: Architect, design, and deploy Aruba-based network solutions that meet customer requirements for scalability, resilience, and security, leveraging technologies such as Aruba CX switches, Aruba Central, and ClearPass.

  • Operations & Support: Provide maintenance and operational support for complex network environments, including proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

  • Security & Compliance: Ensure network implementations meet federal security standards such as FISMA and NIST 800-53, supporting Zero Trust principles and secure access controls.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Develop and maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, baselines, change management records, and performance reports.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with customers, project teams, and OEM partners to deliver mission-aligned network solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Automation & Optimization: Utilize network automation tools such as NetEdit, Ansible, or Python to streamline configuration management and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Network Monitoring: Continuously assess network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to ensure reliability and efficiency.

  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay informed on emerging networking technologies, best practices, and modernization strategies to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Certifications:

  • Aruba Certified Switching Associate (ACSA) required.

  • Aruba Certified ClearPass Associate (ACCA) preferred.

  • Advanced certifications such as Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP) or Aruba Certified Design Professional (ACDP) are a plus.

Experience:


  • 10+ years of progressive network engineering experience, including 3+ years supporting federal or other high-security environments.

  • Proven expertise with Aruba CX Series switches, Aruba Central, and ClearPass Policy Manager.

  • Strong knowledge of network segmentation, VLANs, VRFs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and network access control.

  • Experience with network management and monitoring tools such as AirWave, NetEdit, or SolarWinds.

  • Familiarity with virtualized and cloud-integrated environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.

  • Adaptability and problem-solving mindset.

Travel:


  • Willingness to travel up to 25% within the continental U.S.

Security Clearance:


  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.

  • Active clearance preferred.

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to work in an office environment with prolonged periods at a computer.

  • Must be able to lift or move up to 30 pounds regularly.
