Laboratory Assistant

Job Title: Laboratory Support Technician - Entry Level
Location : Tucker, GA
Type: Contract To Hire
Compensation : $21-25/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 12PM-8:30AM

Overview:
Contract Testing Facility is seeking a Lab Support Technician to join their team on a contract to hire basis. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving and preparing client samples for analytical testing.

Responsibilities:

• Support laboratory operations through general maintenance of laboratory and supply storage areas equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• use general lab methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with quality assurance programs and standard operating procedures.
• Retrieve samples from Sample Control for analysis
• Perform sample preparation including but not limited to: aliquot samples, spike and trace samples, prepare reagents, bottle samples, prepare concentrations, separation, sonication, liquid rack set up
• Resolve discrepancies and anomalies to ensure samples are properly labeled
• Prepare general lab paperwork such as recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, and lab logbooks
• Wash lab glassware to prepare for next day’s samples

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience working in a fast pace, physical role

• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time
• Basic knowledge of the information and techniques for lab testing
• Basic ability to analyze data and accurately document and record
• Strong attention to detail, able to follow instructions written and oral
• Laboratory experience a plus; pipetting, plating samples, etc.
• Interest in gaining Laboratory/Science experience a huge plus!
