Candlewood Suites Housekeeping Supervisor

Position Overview:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring guest rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained. This includes managing housekeeping staff, supplies, equipment, and addressing maintenance issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assign daily cleaning tasks and supervise the housekeeping team, including Room Attendants, Laundry Staff, and Housemen.
• Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate department staff.
• Address guest complaints and ensure prompt resolution.
• Order supplies and uniforms, and test new housekeeping products.
• Inspect rooms and ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Ensure storage areas and linen rooms are clean and stocked.
• Handle lost and found items and deliver valuables to management.
• Report maintenance issues and assist with additional tasks as needed.

Prerequisites:

• Must pass security clearance as per company policy.
• Experience in similar positions is helpful but not required.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 30 pounds, standing for extended periods, and handling various cleaning duties.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional, trustworthy, and able to handle guest requests with a positive attitude.
• Must be flexible and able to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Working Conditions:

• Standing and walking for long periods while maintaining a professional image.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operation with a flexible schedule.
