As a Cashier in our small retail team, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and efficient transaction handling. You will be responsible for operating the POS system, managing cash transactions, verifying customer identification, and supporting store merchandising and cleanliness. This role requires flexibility to work rotating and weekend shifts, ensuring a smooth and welcoming shopping experience for all customers.
Responsibilities
- Handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Manage cash handling and reconciliation
- Verify customer identification as required
- Provide excellent customer service and support
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization
- Replenish stock and assist with merchandising
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in retail or customer service
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Cash handling skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Effective time management
