$20.00/hr Starting; $21.56/hr After Completion of Level 1 (Around 90 Days)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Exercise and promote safety
- Use proper lifting techniques
- Understand and use tools required to complete the job
- Read and understand the hard card
- Understand the special notes and where to find them
- Inspect material for flatness, twist, bow, angle and dimensions
- Know the R codes (scrap codes)
- Understand the yellow quality card
- Understand that the more a part is worked the more internal stress is created
- Understand and read blueprints
- Check tool calibration and log information
- Log die information
- Operate machinery: roller beds, roller machine, detwist, straightener, arbor press, crank machine, faro
- Understand proper rigging selection and use
- Stack orders and label them
- Know where to place completed material
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum Experience: None
- Certifications Required: Obtained during new hire orientation
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively listen and communicate ideas and thoughts to others; able to assimilate ideas originated by others
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
- Reasoning Skills: Ability to carry out and communicate written and/or oral instructions
- Physical Abilities: Regularly required to stand, walk and use hands; must be able to lift 50 pounds at any time during his/her shift; the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
Working Conditions
- Schedule: 1st shift
Safety
All UAC employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries. Employee must understand the PPE and wear it properly.
