Senior Sales Engineer (Semiconductor Machines)
Acara Solutions has been providing advanced manufacturing firms nationally with its staffing services for over 65 years. Our semiconductor, lithography, and micro/nano-fabrication industrial manufacturing equipment client is looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join their organization. This is a salaried direct employee position. Ideally the candidate will reside in California, but they are open to a candidate working remotely elsewhere in the U.S.
This is a U.S. remote position working from home with up to 25% travel within North & South America.
This is a high-impact role for an experienced sales professional with extensive knowledge of the micro and nano-technology equipment industry and a proven track record of expanding market share, building strategic relationships, and closing complex capital equipment deals. The ideal candidate will possess an established network within the industrial sector and will have a successful history in capital equipment sales.
* Assist in business development and direct sales activities for industrial customers across North and South America, focusing on our advanced micro- and nano-fabrication equipment portfolio.
* Identify and pursue market expansion opportunities through strategic targeting, networking, and solution-based customer engagement.
* Utilize existing professional relationships to develop new business and accelerate customer acquisition.
* Manage the full sales cycle - from initial contact and needs analysis to proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
* Serve as a trusted advisor to key accounts and long-term partners in the industrial sector.
* Collaborate with product management, marketing, and technical support teams to deliver optimal customer solutions and feedback.
* Maintain accurate sales pipeline forecasts and records within the CRM system.
* Monitor competitor activity and market trends to help shape product positioning and strategic planning.
* Represent the organization at key industry events, conferences, and exhibitions.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Min 10 years of experience selling capital equipment within the semiconductor, micro/nano-fabrication, photonics, or similar industries. The position also requires:
* In-depth understanding of industrial workflows and applications in high-precision manufacturing or research.
* A proven track record of business development, account management, and market expansion in industrial markets.
* A strong professional network within relevant industries.
The position requires up to 25% travel in North and South America.
