Travel Radiology X-Ray Tech Job

Healthforce
Atlanta, GA
Step into a pivotal role as a Radiology X-Ray Tech in Atlanta, Georgia, where your precise imaging and compassionate care accelerate diagnoses, illuminate treatment paths, and strengthen the trust patients place in their healthcare team. As you begin this assignment on 04/06/2026 for a duration of several weeks, you’ll bring technical excellence, patient-centered communication, and a steady calm to fast-paced clinical environments. Georgia’s rich tapestry—from bustling metropolitan life to serene natural retreats—offers inspiration beyond the bedside. Explore the Blue Ridge vistas, wander Historic Savannah’s charm, or soak up Atlanta’s vibrant arts and dining scenes on your downtime. The state’s landscapes and communities invite you to recharge between cases, personifying a healthy balance between professional impact and quality of life.

Location Benefits:
Joining the Atlanta team means tapping into a dynamic healthcare ecosystem with robust imaging departments, state-of-the-art equipment, and collaborative radiology networks. Atlanta’s thriving medical campuses provide exposure to a wide referral base, diverse patient populations, and opportunities to refine technique across a broad spectrum of imaging modalities. The city’s professional milieu encourages mentorship, innovation, and cross-disciplinary teamwork that elevates clinical practice. For those who relish variety, this path also opens the possibility of rotating to other U.S. locations within the same program, delivering new experiences, patient demographics, and workflows, all while maintaining the stability and support of a trusted employer. Beyond work, you’ll benefit from a city known for its cultural richness, music and sports scenes, and accessible travel options for weekend explorations.

Role Specifics and Benefits:
As a Radiology X-Ray Tech, you will perform radiographic examinations with skill and safety, including patient positioning, exposure parameter selection, and image acquisition that meets radiologist specifications and institutional quality standards. You’ll support the imaging workflow from scheduling coordination and patient preparation to image processing, labeling, and archiving, ensuring optimal image quality while minimizing radiation exposure in line with ALARA principles. You’ll participate in routine maintenance, basic troubleshooting of digital radiography systems, and adherence to strict safety protocols for shielding, PPE use, and infection control. Your role includes documenting procedures, verifying patient information, and communicating findings succinctly to radiologists and the care team. There is ample room for professional growth, including opportunities to specialize in fluoroscopy, CT or mammography, pursue continuing education credits, and advance toward lead tech or supervisory responsibilities as you gain expertise. In return, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package designed to recognize your contributions and help you thrive professionally and personally. The role offers competitive compensation with weekly pay ranging from $1,600 to $1,620, plus a sign-on bonus and housing assistance to ease relocation or temporary housing needs. An important advantage is the guarantee of 40 hours per week, with the potential for extension opportunities that align with your career goals and the staffing needs of partner facilities. You’ll also be supported by a dedicated, on-call team that provides 24/7 assistance while you travel with the company, ensuring you’re never navigating challenges alone. The combination of hands-on practice, ongoing training, and real-world case variety creates a robust platform for advancing your radiology career while delivering exceptional patient care.
