Job Summary
The Site Services Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising site-wide support services necessary for safe and efficient project execution. This role oversees temporary facilities, utilities, logistics, access control, site maintenance, and contractor coordination while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and project schedule requirements on large-scale data center construction projects
Job Description
- Site Logistics & Infrastructure
- Manage installation and maintenance of temporary facilities including offices, laydown yards, parking areas, fencing, security systems, and welfare facilities.
- Coordinate temporary power, water, sewer, communications, lighting, and other construction support utilities.
- Oversee site roads, access points, traffic control plans, and material delivery routes.
- Ensure adequate site services are maintained throughout all project phases.
- Construction Support Operations
- Coordinate crane access, equipment staging, and material laydown areas.
- Manage waste removal, housekeeping, snow removal (where applicable), dust control, and environmental compliance.
- Support subcontractors by ensuring required site services are available and operational.
- Coordinate shutdowns and tie-ins related to temporary and permanent utility systems.
- Safety Leadership
- Promote and enforce safety culture and project-specific safety requirements.
- Conduct daily field observations and safety audits.
- Participate in toolbox talks, pre-task planning, and incident investigations.
- Ensure site service contractors comply with all project safety standards.
- Contractor Management
- Supervise site services subcontractors and vendors.
- Monitor productivity, staffing levels, and work quality.
- Coordinate work activities between multiple contractors and project stakeholders.
- Support contract administration and change management activities.
- Schedule & Planning
- Participate in construction planning and look-ahead meetings.
- Develop and maintain site logistics plans.
- Coordinate utility outages, temporary service transitions, and phased site turnover activities.
- Identify and mitigate schedule risks affecting project execution.
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure site infrastructure complies with project specifications and governing codes.
- Coordinate inspections and documentation for temporary and permanent utility systems.
- Support turnover activities and project closeout requirements.
Skills Required
- 10+ years of construction supervision experience.
- Data center, industrial, power, semiconductor, mission-critical, or large commercial project experience preferred.
- Experience managing:
- Site logistics
- Temporary utilities
- Construction support services
- Contractor coordination
- Strong understanding of:
- OSHA requirements
- Utility systems
- Construction sequencing
- Material management
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong experience with: Temporary power distribution, Underground utilities, Site development, Large-scale logistics coordination, Multi-contractor environments
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Degree or GED required
Pay Rate/Salary
- Pay Rate $60/hr - $75/hr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
