Feedmill Utility Operator (Forsyth, GA)

Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to support the Feedmill in all aspects to include operations, administration and all other support functions associated with feed manufacturing. The incumbent will be proficient in operation, receiving, panel, dispatch, feed scheduling and the food safety plan.

Schedule: 6:00am to 3:00pm

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Requires training in all positions within the feedmil.
• Must be able to perform all duties on a panel operator, pelletmill operator, feed scheduler and QC coordinator.
• Must abide by all safety requirements and rules within the feed mill.
• Keeps daily inventory records and reports any discrepancies.
• Assist the Feed Mill Manager to ensure feed mill conforms to FDA, USDA, AMS and Perdue requirements including CGMPs, BMPs, PVPs and the principles of animal food hygiene and animal food safety.

Minimum Education

• High School or equivalent or 2 or more years of experience i feed mill manufacturing.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years experience in feed mill maunufacturing.
• Mechanical background, basic PC skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Experience Preferred

• Experience in maintenance or mechanical functions preferred.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

• Occasional exposure to outside environmental temperature conditions to include extreme cold, hot and humidity.
• Significant amount of time spent in a stationary position making visual observations with occasional bending, stooping or climbing.
• Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Exposed to ingredient dust and high noise levels.
• Must wear required personal protective equipment per Company policy.
• Must be able to climb steps and ladders.
• Exposure to dusty and odorous environment associated with feed mill manufacturing.
