Job Title: Fleet Maintenance Technician

Schedule: Day Shift

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team in a full-time, day-shift role. This is a local position offering long-term stability and benefits. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of semi-trucks and trailers, with the majority of work focused on diesel equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on diesel-powered semi-trucks (approximately 80% diesel work)
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete timely repairs to minimize downtime
• Maintain and repair trailers, including:
  • Wiring and repairing brake lights and electrical systems
  • Replacing brakes and brake components
  • Changing and repairing tires
  • Repairing and servicing hydraulic systems
• Perform DOT inspections and accurately document findings
• Replace components such as water pumps and AC systems when needed
• Use an iPad-based system to receive work orders, document repairs, and track parts usage
• Log all completed work and parts checked out through digital work orders
• Perform welding and cutting tasks using torches as required
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

Qualifications:

• Previous fleet or diesel maintenance experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills on semi-trucks and trailers
• Knowledge of DOT inspection requirements
• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and brake systems
• Comfortable using tablets/iPads for work orders and documentation
• Welding or torch experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
