Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele Profession: RN Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years Med/Tele RN experience License: Required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred, National certification in Medical-Surgical nursing preferred but not required Must-Have: Strong clinical assessment and med-surg nursing skills for a Level 1 Trauma Hospital Ability to manage tracheostomy care, chest tubes, and IV insertion Capability to interpret cardiac telemetry Experience in discharge planning and patient education, particularly on renal and fluid management Skills in glucometer use, insulin drips, heparin drips, and titrating drips Description: This position involves providing care to patients with acute and chronic diseases. Common diagnoses include heart failure, A-Fib, respiratory failure, and diabetes. You will monitor post-op surgeries and post-cardiac procedures. The patient ratio will be 1 nurse for every 4-6 patients. Support staff will include CNAs and LPNs. You will coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team. Daily responsibilities include wound care, Foley insertion, and central line management. The role also requires a strong understanding of medication administration and management. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality patient care in a busy environment. Weekend and holiday work is expected as part of the schedule. About Cynet Health
