NOVA Engineering is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Entry-level Materials Lab Technician to join our Soil & Concrete Materials Laboratory within the Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Department in Kennesaw, GA . This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about geotechnical and construction materials testing to contribute to a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct soil and concrete sample collection, preparation, and testing in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Perform laboratory tests including moisture content, grain size analysis, Atterberg limits, compaction tests, and concrete strength testing.
• Record and analyze test data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with quality control procedures.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist with the preparation of test reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to support project needs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Geology, Soil Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a soils or concrete laboratory is preferred but not required.
• GDOT and ACI laboratory certifications are preferred.
• ICC Soils certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
