Retail Assistant (Temp)

The PantherDining Department at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Retail Assistant (Temp) . This position supports management with clerical work, such as compiling materials for interviews, maintaining departmental records and files, answering telephones, taking messages, transferring calls and providing information to the public. Maintain inventory of office supplies and orders supplies for office and Retail locations. Ensures paperwork is delivered to central administration in a timely manner. This position is located at our Downtown Atlanta Campus.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
This position will provide support to the Retail units within the department of PantherDining.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Ensures timely completion of timesheets, winter break forms, and other department/university forms.
- Assists with payroll for areas of responsibility.
- Assist in arranging meetings and scheduling appointments.
- Assists employees with any program needs, such as Onboarding, OneUSG, campus email, parking, or uniforms.
- Ensures employee administrative needs are met.
- Enrollment of staff for the Biometric Time Clocks.
- Relieves staff for breaks.
- Operates POS system and ensures cleanliness of areas as needed. PCI Compliance training to include credit card inspection log.
- Ensures cash handling policy and procedures are followed.
- Assists in deposit reconciliation and cash handling.
- Manages change requests.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and two years of administrative experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous administrative/customer service experience.
- Previous cash handling experience.
- Previous experience in PantherMart or similar systems.
- Typing may be required.
Physical Requirements:
- Extended standing, walking, ability to bend, stoop, reach and climb ladders.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds.
- Ability to work in all temperature conditions.
- Flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends and holidays.
