[Active Hring] Manager, Mobility Fleet Strategy & Analysis
Job Description: The Manager, Mobility Fleet Strategy & Analysis helps guide the forward direction of Hertz’s Uber / Lyft fleet through hypothesis-driven analysis that supports sustainable growth and profitability of the business unit Starting salary is $80K; commensurate with experience. A Day in the Life: The Manager, Fleet Strategy and Analysis will be responsible for developing analytics to drive continuous improvement and the strategic direction of the fleet. They will arrive in the morning hungry to learn and leave in the evening excited to teach. What You’ll Do:
- Pioneer analysis from the ground up, identifying optimal fleet composition, geographic allocation, and pace of growth
- Participate in regular Revenue and Cost performance reviews and provide supporting analyses to drive improvements across the P/(L)
- Coordinate with Shared Mobility / TNC leadership and interface with Uber / Lyft working teams to ensure viewpoints and inputs are meaningfully contemplated in our output
- Partner across the company to supply quality insights and gather valuable inputs
- Identify patterns in our vast data sets that can be used to inform the integration of Shared Mobility into our broader fleet optimization systems
- Periodically pivot to support the broader Rent-a-Car fleet, developing a deep understanding of the differences
- Support the creation of executive-level presentations that lay out findings in well-written, fact-based, and succinct narratives
- Establish confidence in our fleet strategy via high-quality, accurate, and on-time deliverables
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in analytics
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets and data analytical tools (e.g. SQL, Python, Tableau, etc.)
- Proven track record of using data to develop strategic insights and unlock new efficiencies within complex systems (like our fleet)
- An ability to learn quickly
- Intermediate communication / presentation skills + interest in developing further
- Aptitude and aspiration to manage strong and diverse teams
- Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
